Our Story
Flavrly started with a simple idea: what if finding great food was as exciting and enjoyable as eating it? I had this thought during one of my many trips for bowling tournaments. Traveling from city to city, I often struggle to pinpoint the true hidden gems of local cuisine. The concept for Flavrly was solidified during a trip to Vancouver. As a seafood lover, I was having a really hard time trying to locate restaurants serving fresh coastal seafood - not because there weren’t any, but because there were almost too many serving generic seafood and fish dishes, and I was after a particular North Pacific dish - Halibut. Especially frusterating was the pain of sifting through the majority of reviews focused on the restaurant itself rather than the dishes. Not to mention trouble with inaccurate results or had to search through multiple sites doing keyword searches through every site to hopefully find what I was craving at the time.
Beyond reviews, Flavrly is a community-driven experience, offering exciting features like challenges, leaderboards, trending dishes, recommendations, and even badges to reward users for their culinary adventures.
